ANSI/HI 11.6 Rotodynamic Submersible Pumps for Mechanical and Electrical Acceptance Tests

Overview:

This standard provides uniform test procedures for submersible pump integrity testing, data recording, acceptance criteria, and the report of test results. It is intended to define test procedures that may be invoked by contractual agreement between a purchaser and manufacturer.

This standard is provides clarity in the purchasing of submersible pumps and is useful for pump manufacturers, specifying engineers, end users, and testing laboratories.

  • A focus exclusively on submersible pump electrical and mechanical integrity testing.
  • New requirements for continuity testing for plug connected pumps.
  • The procedures for hydraulic performance, hydrostatic pressure testing, and net positive suction head required (NPSHR) testing are now addressed in the ANSI/HI 14.6 standard.
  • The requirements for vibration testing of submersible pumps are now addressed in the ANSI/HI 9.6.4 standard.
